All those experiencing illnesses are invited to attend Holy Family Catholic Community’s Anointing Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 16th at Sacred Heart Church. The sacrament, which confers God’s grace through the Holy Spirit on those who are ill, can be offered more than once if a person’s condition has worsened or became ill once again. It is administered to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness, especially near the time of death.

Women's Empowerment Series - We Need Your Help!

Do you like to make a big difference in our community? Do you love interacting with kids? Well, you’re in luck!

The Women’s Empowerment Series of Fond du Lac is calling all babysitters, childcare specialists, grandparents, aids, volunteers and those with trauma informed child care to assist us in our childcare for our 12-week series.

With the addition of our year-round services and classes, we have had an increase in women and children interested in our organization. This influx of interested participants results in the need for our organization to provide more childcare than in the past. Focus on childcare is currently an essential part of our mission. Childcare specialists will oversee the childcare rooms running smoothly.

This program in partnership with our series will support and nurture growth of families that utilize our services.

The Women’s Empowerment Series mission is to empower women to take control of their lives through knowledge, self-improvement and sisterhood. These same principles apply to participants’ children, teaching them to take control, self-reflect, and create a community with other youth and families in their immediate lives. It is a beautiful scene watching a mother and her child on this delicate journey together as they grow, learn from one another and follow their path to empowerment.

The Women’s Empowerment Series is a mentor-to mentee program, but so much more than just a weekly one-hour commitment. We offer continuous support and resources for the mentees, which fosters a trustworthy and open relationship between mentee and mentor. The series of classes we offer are focused on mental health, financial stability, resources available to all women and overall safety in the home and within relationships. We focus on the importance of healthy lifestyles as a path to a healthier mindset. The Women’s Empowerment Series works with women who seek to rebuild themselves; for themselves and their children. Our series provides them with the skills, knowledge and

resources to do just that; we offer continuous support throughout their time of need. After the 12 weeks of class are over, we maintain contact with the mentees and offer support in any way that they may need.

We know that ongoing events, gatherings, check-ins and close relationships are vital to the success of the Women and Children we serve. We are looking for volunteers to help with childcare on Thursdays from 5-8pm beginning September 2nd and running through November 4th.

If you are interested, please contact us at 920-251-4741, drop in our office at 76 Western Ave. or send us an e-mail at info@womensempowermentseries.org

Dinner will be provided each Thursday evening for all childcare providers.  Click here for our flyer.
