First Fall Confirmation Session October 6

Fall Confirmation classes are set to begin Sunday, October 6 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart School. There’s still time to sign up and bring a dish to share. All items can be dropped off in the gym when you arrive.

 


 

Pray for an end to abortion with Rachel Rosary and Stand for Life Sunday

In observance of Respect Life Month, Holy Family invites everyone to join in praying the Rachel Rosary at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 6 now at St. Mary Church. The Rachel Rosary is a six-decade Rosary specially modified to emphasize prayer for victims of abortion and post-abortion syndrome. Afterward, everyone is also invited to participate in the Annual Stand for Life (formerly called Life Chain) – an hour of public silent prayer vigil for the unborn and vulnerable – from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the corner of West Johnson Street and North Peters Avenue.

 


 

Celebrate Mass of Thanksgiving for Deacon Marty Ryan

On Sunday, October 6, we will offer a Mass of Thanksgiving for our parish’s new deacon, Marty Ryan, at the 10:00 am Mass at Holy Family Church. After Mass, join us for refreshments and congratulate Deacon Marty Ryan on his ordination.

 


 

Building the Domestic Church to return, all families welcome

Parents, join us at Sacred Heart School on Wednesday, October 9 at 6:30 pm for our first parent session of Building Your Domestic Church. This is a great way to take your Catholic faith beyond the Church doors and into your home. Fr. Kevin Durand will lead the first session, entitled “Dealing with an Inclusive Driven Society,” along with a guest couple. Learn about inclusivism and relativism and what both these ideas have to do with the truth. Childcare will be available for ages three and up.

 


 

Honor Public Safety Officials at Blue Mass on October 13

All those in the public safety field are invited to attend Holy Family’s Blue Mass at 10:00 am on Sunday, October 13 at Holy Family Church. The Mass will honor all those who protect our community in the public safety field and pray for their protection. Those who attend are encouraged to wear their uniforms and have a flag representing their agency in the Gathering Space. People of all faiths are welcome! A social with refreshments will follow.

 


 

Unite our Nation Eucharistic Procession & Rosary Rally October 13

Pray for our country during Holy Family’s Eucharistic Procession and Rosary Rally at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 13. The Procession with the Blessed Sacrament will begin at St. Mary and end at Veterans Park on the corner of Main Street and Western Avenue. If you are unable to walk in the procession, you are invited to Veterans Park around 2:30 pm or pray for our country at the Sacred Heart Adoration Chapel. In the event of inclement weather, the rally will take place at St. Mary’s Church.

 


 

Singer Michael James Mette to lead Worship Concert October 27

On Sunday, October 27, Holy Family will welcome Michael James Mette for a free worship concert from 3:00 to 4:30 pm at Holy Family Church. Mette’s music stands at the intersection of the church and culture, drawing from pop and worship influences. He previously performed at Holy Family Church with his children as part of the band, MJM7. All are welcome to attend. Free-will donations will be accepted.

 


 

Support Holy Family Warming Shelter

Help to support the Holy Family Warming Shelter for a chance to win $10,000. The anticipated operating cost for the shelter this season is to be about $200,000. You can help us defer this cost by participating in our Holy Family Warming Shelter Raffle! Tickets are $20 each or six for $100. The top prize is $10,000, with additional prizes of $3,500, $2,500 and $1,000. Winners will be drawn at 5:30 pm on October 24 at the Holy Family Warming Shelter. Tickets are available to purchase at our Parish Office front desk and can be purchased online at hffdl.org/warming-shelter.

 


 

Are you an adult looking to become Catholic? Join our OCIA program!

Holy Family welcomes anyone who may be interested in becoming Catholic to learn more about the faith! OCIA (Order of Catholic Initiation, formerly RCIA) is for those adults who are not baptized, those from other faith traditions, and those baptized Catholic, but not raised Catholic. Come and learn about the true Catholic Faith. Sessions will start in October. Travel with Holy Family to Women in Christ Conference

Women are invited to join their fellow parishioners on the Holy Family Bus Trip to the Women of Christ Conference on Saturday, November 16. The bus will board in the Holy Family Church parking lot at 6:15 am, leave at 6:30, and travel down to the Brookfield Conference Center. The Women of Christ Conference provides women the opportunity to celebrate their Catholic faith with women throughout the area. The bus trip will cost $25 per person (an additional $1.75 processing fee if paying online) and St. Mary’s Springs Academy employees, young adults, and Holy Family staff/catechists travel free.

North Fond du Lac Theater Movies for Fall

North Fond du Lac Theater is excited to announce the return of movies!
There will be two show times (Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.) on the below weekends:

  •  October 19 & 20 with Inside Out 2
Same great $3 a seat price. We will offer popcorn and bottled water to start for concessions.
