To honor those who gave their lives for our county, Holy Family will offer multiple Masses on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, including at: 8:00 am at Holy Family Church; 8:30 am at Calvary Cemetery, 686 Fond du Lac Ave. (Rosary Walk at 8:00 am); and 9:00 am at St. Charles Cemetery, W4287 Golf Course Drive. In observance of the holiday, the Holy Family Parish Office will be closed on May 27 as well.
Holy Family Catholic Community is now hiring for a Christian Formation Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will work with those in Christian Formation to organize and support its programs and events. The person in this part-time role will help with background clerical work and record maintenance, including sacraments, Christian Formation program registrations, and more. They will coordinate baptisms, the parish’s Safeguarding program, reservations, and transportation for various programs, as well as organize, coordinate, and facilitate marriage preparations. Join Holy Family as the community says goodbye to Fr. Michael Malucha with a Farewell Mass and Reception at 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 15 at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. At the reception, you will have a chance to thank him for his service to our parish and wish him well on his new assignment, as well as enjoy light treats.
This summer, pilgrims from the four corners of the United States will cross the country and converge on the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis this July. Traveling from the north on the Marian Route, pilgrims will travel with the Blessed Sacrament from Mount Calvary to St. Peter Church, from where they will process on foot 6.5 miles to Holy Family Church on Wednesday, June 19.
You are invited to participate in this historic procession. The day will start with morning Mass at Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County W., Mount Calvary, at 8:00 am. From 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, you can join the procession as it travels from St. Peter Church, N8079 Church Road, Malone, to Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, FDL. Thank you to everyone who has donated to Holy Family’s Summer Bites program so far! With your help, the parish will provide hundreds of free lunches weekly to children, families, and other individuals in need throughout the community.
Beginning this weekend, Holy Family is collecting donations of peanut butter and jelly, as well as sandwich-size Ziploc bags. Please drop off all donations at the Holy Family Parish Office. The parish will distribute free lunches which will include a sandwich, water or juice, fruit, and a snack, on Tuesdays from June 11-August 20. Meals will be distributed at the following times and locations:
• Maplewood Commons, Martin Avenue and Hawthorne Drive, 11:00 to 11:20 am
• Sacred Heart Church parking lot, 200 S. Main St., 11:00 to 11:20 am
• St. Mary’s Church parking lot, off Rees Street, 11:00 to 11:20 am
• Jefferson Park, Ninth Street and Sherman Street, 11:30 to 11:50 am
• Buttermilk Park parking lot, 700 S. Park Ave., 11:30 to 11:50 am
• Little Ceasar’s parking lot, corner of Scott and Main Streets, 11:30 to 11:50 am
• St. Katharine Drexel Shelter parking lot, 358 N. Peters Ave., 12:20 pm
Holy Family will help to feed children, families, and other individuals in need of a meal with the launch of its Summer Bites lunch program. Every Tuesday from June 11 to August 20, Holy Family will provide hundreds of meals to be distributed at seven locations throughout the city. To provide these meals, Holy Family needs your help! Beginning this weekend, Holy Family is collecting donations of fruit cups, apple sauce cups, and raisins, which can be dropped off at the Holy Family Parish Office, 271 Fourth Street Way, during office hours. Holy Family will offer a beautiful Eucharistic Procession through the Marian University Campus on Sunday, June 2 following the 5:00 pm Mass at Dorcas Chapel in honor of Corpus Christi Sunday. The procession will begin at the Chapel on the corner of Division Street and National Avenue and process around the campus before returning to the chapel for prayer and benediction.

Nominations for Holy Family’s Parish Trustee position are due next Friday, May 31. Trustees serve the parish as advisors, overseers, and councilors, entrusted with assisting the pastor in caring for the corporate well-being of the parish. Any registered member of Holy Family who is a practicing Catholic and over the age of 25 is eligible to be a nominee for parish trustee.
Nominees must submit a written nomination form, signed by at least 10 parish members, to the Holy Family Parish Office, 271 Fourth Street Way, no later than noon on Friday, May 31. To receive a nomination form, please visit the Parish Office or hffdl.org/trustee.
Children entering preschool through sixth grade this fall can go on a castle adventure this August when Vacation Bible School returns to Holy Family Catholic Community! From August 5-9 at Sacred Heart School, 678 Western Ave., children will journey to a land of castles, knights, and princesses as they learn about standing strong in God by finding strength in God’s love, family and friends, prayer, and the Bible.

Holy Family Catholic Community is now hiring for a Social Media and Communications Assistant. The Social Media and Communications Assistant will assist the Director of Communications and Marketing in creating and implementing the parish’s social media strategy, with a focus on further cultivating the parish’s presence on Instagram, Facebook, and other social media channels. The person in this role will interview parishioners for videos and photo stories in accordance with Archdiocese of Milwaukee guidelines, and on a rotational basis assist with livestreaming, photography, and videography at parish Masses and events. In addition, the Social Media and Marketing Assistant will prepare and mail letters, and make weekly deliveries of bulletins and liturgical materials to our church sites. The person in this role must have at least a high school degree or the equivalent, as well as demonstrate a strong understanding of the use of social media platforms, videography/photography, computer skills, and media/publication strategies. Summer EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) is an income-based program that helps families buy food for their children while school is out. Wisconsin will send $120 for each child who qualifies.
