Message to the Parents/Guardians of the 2020 First Communicants

Thank you for your continued patience and prayers in waiting for decisions about First Communion. Archbishop Listecki informed us that Masses will resume the last weekend of May (with a limited number of attendees) with First Communions being scheduled for June.  In order to make sure we give the greatest opportunity, to have the most people be able to participate in one of our rescheduled Mass times, the decision was made to hold all of the First Communions celebrations at the Holy Family Church site. It is a blessing that we have the ability to use Holy Family Church to celebrate together.

The new dates are as follows:

Date Time Church Rehearsal

A new online registration form will need to be filled out to sign-up for the new First Communion dates. The links for the online registrations can be found on the website http://www.hffdl.org/reconcil_first_comm/  and will go live on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 7:30 a.m. The online registration will be for reserving the date that works best for your family. Rather than reserving your own pew, on the online registration form, we will be assigning your pew to ensure social distancing practices are followed.

Carmen will be contacting anyone who will be participating in the Spanish Masses to decide which Mass you would like to attend. If you have any questions please contact Carmen at, (920)638-1225.

Carmen se comunicará con cualquiera que participe en las misas en español para decidir a qué misa le gustaría asistir. Si tiene alguna pregunta, comuníquese con Carmen al (920) 638-1225.

Notes about First Communion:

  • Four people, plus the First Communicant, will be able to attend Mass. Each family will be given 4 tickets to ensure we are not exceeding maximum numbers.
  • Mass will be live streamed on Facebook (Holy Family Catholic Community) as well as on YouTube the following day.
  • We will not be having rehearsal the week before the First Communions. A brief rehearsal will take place before the First Communion Mass.
  • Archbishop Listecki has extended the Mass dispensation until July 5.

We hope and pray that the options of dates proposed will work in your schedule. We know this is not the ideal circumstances or the plan that we initially had, but know the most important part is your child/ren receiving Christ in the Eucharist and that we trust in God’s plan.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

May God bless you,

Fr. Ryan Pruess, Pastor
