Buy Soups From Local Restaurants to Benefit Those in Need at Soup du Jour – March 19th

Pick up soups including broccoli cheese, chicken dumpling and stuffed green pepper at this year’s Soup du Jour on Saturday, March 19th at Holy Family and Sacred Heart Churches! 

 

The fundraiser will sell soup donated by local restaurants, businesses, and Holy Family staff to benefit the St. Katharine Drexel Homeless Shelter and Holyland Food Pantry. Soup will be available for $4.00 a container or three containers for $10.00 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. at Holy Family, as well as after the 4:00 p.m. Masses at Sacred Heart and Holy Family. Participating restaurants and organizations include: Avenue 795, A & W Restaurant, Bench Warmers Bar & Grille, Boda’s Restaurant and Catering, Brick House, Downtown Deli to Go/Top Shelf Sports Bar & Grille, Domino’s, Fat Joe’s Burgers and Brew, Friar Tuck’s, Elaine Graf and the Associates of First Weber Realtors, Gilles Frozen Custard, Mancino’s Pizza & Grinders, Oasis, Pamela’s Bar and Grille, Salty’s Seafood & Spirits, Sunset on the Water, and Theo’s 24.


Men of Christ Conference – March 26th

All men are invited to attend Men of Christ’s “Reawakening the Catholic Man” at Holy Family Catholic Community on Saturday, March 26th from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

 

The day will include video presentations from Peter Kreeft, Kevin O’Brien, Fr. Cajetan Cuddy, O.P., Fr. Burke Masters and Archbishop Jerome Listecki, as well as Mass, Adoration, Confession, Benediction, lunch, and more.

Next Installment of Lenten Priest Talk Series – March 15th

Join Fr. Alejandro as he walks us through judgment in the next installment of our Lenten Priest Talk Series reflecting on the Four Last Things (plus one) that our souls will encounter at the end of our lives and at the start of our next. 

 

Talks will be held Tuesdays throughout Lent from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Fr. Edward will speak purgatory on Wednesday, March 23rd.


Way of the Cross

Retrace the steps of Jesus’ crucifixion and pray on his sacrifice when you join Holy Family Catholic Community at the Way of the Cross every Friday night throughout Lent. Way of the Cross will be held Friday, March 11th at 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary, 7:00 p.m. in Spanish at St. Mary, and at 7:00 p.m. at Our Risen Savior. On March Friday, 18th, 25th, April 1st and April 8th it will be held at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Family; 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family in Spanish; and 7:00 p.m. at Our Risen Savior. 


No Greater Love Lenten Mission – March 23rd

Looking for a way to deepen your Lenten Journey, and prepare for Holy Week? On Wednesday, March 23rd, join people from all over the Archdiocese of Milwaukee for Mass at 18 different parishes, including at Holy Family Church from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. 

 

Deepen your understanding of this great gift, given to us in the Eucharist! The event will be livestreamed on the Holy Family Catholic Community Fond du Lac Facebook page.


Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Build

Volunteers are needed to help Holy Family Catholic Community build beds for children ages 3-17 in the Fond du Lac area at its Sleep in Heavenly Peace Build on Friday – Saturday, April 8th and 9th. The program’s goal is to make sure that every child in the city has a bed to sleep in each night.

Teens invited to Attend Steubenville Conference – July 15th – 17th

Holy Family Catholic Community invites high school students to join its trip to the Steubenville Rochester Conference from Friday – Sunday, July 15 – 17, 2022. According to the conference’s website, it “is a weekend conference that evangelizes, equips and empowers 8th-12th grade youth to become radical, joyful disciples. Make Beds for the Homeless – March 24th

Holy Family Catholic Community is engaging in a service project to make beds for the homeless out of plastic grocery bags. Two sessions will be offered for the service project: noon to 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24th. People of all ages are welcome to participate!

Prison Ministry - Taycheedah Women’s Correctional

Taycheedah Women’s Correctional is once again open for our donations. They are seeking yarn and material for sewing projects, knitting and crochet needles as well as pattern books. They are anxious for donations.

 

Any items you have to offer can be brought to the South Lobby office at SMSA now through spring break. Thank you!

If pain has moved you from participant to spectator, call Aurora Sports Health to schedule a free injury evaluation. Performed by a licensed athletic trainer, physical therapist or occupational therapist, the free screening includes a pain assessment and recommendations for treatment or physician referral, if needed.  Click here for the assessment.
