New Altar Server Training – January 29th
Greg Brunette will be offering training for new altar servers for Holy Family Catholic Community weekend Masses on Saturday, January 29th. This is for new servers, and primarily for those serving at Holy Family Church, but anyone is welcome to attend.
Please meet Greg in the vesting sacristy at Holy Family Church at 3:40 p.m., in order participate in the 4:00 p.m. Mass and have an hour of training afterward.
Book study on “Works of Mercy” – Begins January 26
Holy Family Catholic Community will host a book study of What to Do When Jesus is Hungry: A Practical Guide to the Works of Mercy from Wednesday, January 26th to Wednesday, March 2nd from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room at Holy Family Church.
In this down-to-earth yet inspiring guide, Father Andrew Apostoli, C.F.R., explains the Corporal Works of Mercy and illustrates multiple ways we can do them in our modern everyday life. Father Apostoli also outlines the lesser-known but equally important Spiritual Works of Mercy: counseling the doubtful, teaching the ignorant, admonishing the sinner, consoling the afflicted, forgiving offenses, bearing wrongs patiently, and praying for the living and the dead. He also offers many creative ways these too can be made part of our lives.
For more information on the book study, contact Kelsey at kelseyc@hffdl.org or (920) 921-0580 ext. 303.
