A Young Adult Group invite for College Students

If you have or know a college student who would be interested in participating in the young adult group at Holy Family during their winter break, please have them contact the Youth and Young Adult Coordinator, Kelly Brochtrup at the Holy Family office.

Reconciliation Night - December 6th

This event is held specifically for the students enrolled in the Sacramental Preparation program. It is a night that requires students and parents to rotate through different stations throughout the two hours. 

 

If you choose not to attend this night, you must take your child to receive their First Reconciliation on your own time as it is a prerequisite to First Communion. We will begin with a prayer service in the Sacred Heart Church (200 S. Peters Ave).

Service Hour Opportunity - Gift Wrapping at Sacred Heart and Holy Family December 21st & 22nd

Holy Family, Our Risen Savior and Presentation parish youth would like to help make your holiday a little less stressful! You shop, we wrap!

 

Saturday, December 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Center.

 

Sunday, December 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Holy Family Hall.

 

Free will offering will go to support youth programs. For more information, contact the Parish Office at 920-921-0580.

 

Volunteers Needed to Help with Gift Wrapping

Volunteers are needed to help with wrapping Christmas presents to support youth programs.

 

Sign up for one of the following time slots by calling the parish office by Monday, December 16th. 

 

Time Slots available are:

Sacred Heart Center on Saturday, December 21st

10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

OR

Holy Family Hall on Sunday, December 22nd

8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.


Young Adult Bible Study

Young Adults are invited to join us for the six-session study “How God Offers Us Guidance”. 

 

We will meet the following dates from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. in the Victory Center.  The Victory Center is located in the Sacred Heart annex in the southwest corner of the parking lot of the church at the corner of South Peters and Western Avenues.

High School Sports Night - Multiple Dates

High School students are invited to Sports Night in the Sacred Heart Gym from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

That Man is You - Men’s Group - Multiple Dates

Men of all ages are invited to attend a Wednesday morning fellowship, including breakfast and the That Man is You program from 5:30 to 7:00 a.m. in the Holy Family Hall.

Faith in Action - Multiple Thursday Dates

Throughout the school year, join us in service projects with activities available for individuals from grade-school aged on upward. (For younger individuals we ask that a parent accompany them).

 

The service projects will range from recycling plastic bags into woven sleeping mats, sewing pillow cases, tying fleece hats, making nursing home door hangers, making placemats, making cards for seriously ill children, etc.  A variety of skill level appropriate activities will be available each night.  A light meal will be served. Come after your school activities and hang out with friends doing good together or bring the family for food and service together.

Community Updates

Free Movie Night - December 7th

Goodrich Little Theater will be showing The Grinch on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. (doors open at 12:30 p.m.)  The showing will be free and there will also be door prizes.  

 

Goodrich will also be accepting non-perishable donations to support the Fondy Food Pantry.

Boys Volleyball Clinic - Registration Ends January 13th

This clinic is open to male athletes interested in learning basic volleyball skills with the opportunity to see what structured boys volleyball is all about. FHS boys Varsity coaches and players will work on introducing various concepts about competitive volleyball, including positions, defense types, and general skills. The first half of each session will be learning the game followed by competitive play with athletes of similar skill set.
