Labor Day Mass, Parish Office closed

Start off your Labor Day by giving thanks to the Lord at Holy Family Catholic Community’s outdoor Labor Day Mass at St. Peter Church, N8079 Church Road, Malone, on Monday, September 4 at 8:00 am. Those who attend are asked to bring their own chair.

 

As a reminder, the Parish Office will be closed on Labor Day.


 

St. Ambrose Men's Group "That Man is You!" program to return September 6

 

Every Wednesday morning from 5:30 to 6:45 am in the Holy Family Hall, men are invited to join the St. Ambrose Men’s Group for the “That Man is You!” program beginning September 6. “That Man is You!” honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially as husbands and fathers. The morning includes a full breakfast, a video at 6:00 am, and small group discussion. Cost is $10. For more information, please visit hffdl.org/men.


 

Holy Family Youth Group events for this September!

 

Holy Family’s Youth Group has multiple events this September for middle- and high-school students to meet friends, explore their faith, and become more involved in the parish. Youth Group meets every Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, and this month will offer the following events:

 

September 7: Cor Jesu – Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 705 Michigan Ave., North Fond du Lac
September 14: Capture the Flag – Sacred Heart School, 678 Western Ave., Fond du Lac
September 21: Highway Clean-Up (for High School students only) – Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac
September 28: Outdoor Movie Night – Sacred Heart School, 678 Western Ave., Fond du Lac

Adult Confirmation classes to begin September 13

 

Are you already Baptized, and have received Reconciliation and First Communion in the Catholic Church? Are you wanting to be confirmed in the Catholic faith? Join Holy Family for a six-week session, using Matthew Kelly’s “Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic,” along with small group discussions on varying topics, to learn more about the faith from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in Holy Family’s Fireside Room Wednesdays beginning September 13.

Holy Family’s Women's Ministry Kick-Off two weeks away

 

Holy Family Catholic Community’s Women’s Ministry Kick-off is almost here! Join the parish on Thursday, September 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Holy Family Church for Mass, snacks, a social, and a talk from Women of Christ President Elizabeth Meier on the topic of “Search & Rescue – God’s Love Revealed Through the Cross.” Those who attend are asked to bring diapers in sizes 4, 5, or 6 for donation to New Beginnings Pregnancy Care Center. Register now for Sacramental Preparation through Holy Family

Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation at Holy Family Catholic Community is now open. If your child entered 2nd or 11th grade this school year, please remember that Sacramental Preparation is done through your local parish and not SMSA. Please visit hffdl.org/cf to sign up for First Reconciliation and First Communion as well as Confirmation.


 

Donate baskets to Holy Family's Oktoberfest

Holy Family Catholic Community’s Oktoberfest will return to the parish on Saturday, October 7. Expect all the fun of last year – music from Dorf Capelle, games and activities for children and adults, raffles, and great food – as well as some new additions! The night will begin at 4:00 pm with Mass, and the festival will follow at 5:00 pm in the Prayer Garden, with trivia in Holy Family Hall from 8:30-10:00 pm.

 

As part of the event, the parish is seeking donations of gift baskets for its Oktoberfest Basket Raffle! Parishioners and businesses/organizations are invited to contribute a basket of items worth $50 or more to be raffled off with the proceeds benefiting parish ministries. Holy Family Choir season to begin this month

Holy Family adult choirs will return to rehearsals this month. The Sacred Heart/Holy Family Choir will meet on Wednesday, September 6 at 6:30 pm at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way.

 

Holy Family Children’s Choir will meet on Thursdays from 4:00 to 4:45 pm at Holy Family beginning September 14.
