On Thursday, August 15, the Catholic Church will mark the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation. Holy Family will offer several Masses in celebration of this solemnity, including a Spanish Mass at 7:00 pm at Holy Family Church, and 12:00 and 6:30 pm at Sacred Heart Church.

High school students! Join Holy Family’s High School Youth Group for a Back to School Party from 6:45 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28 at Sacred Heart School, 678 Western Ave. The Holy Family High School Youth Group meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.

Women of Holy Family and our Catholic community are invited to attend the parish’s Women’s Ministry Kick-off on Thursday, September 12, from 5:40 to 8:00 pm at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. The night will begin with the Rosary and Mass with Fr. Kevin Tanel, followed by refreshments and a social in the Hall. Maria Notch, founder of Mount Moriah Ministries, #1 best-selling author, speaker and expert on grief, will offer a talk. Childcare will be available by contacting Sabina at (920) 921-0580 ext. 501.

Are you struggling with grief? Holy Family will host “Grief Share,” a 13-week support group and seminar designed to help people rebuild their lives after loss. The group will meet Mondays, beginning September 9 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm in the Holy Family Board Room. Those interested in joining the group must register but can join the program after the start date. To sign up, please email Mary at mdenzin@hffdl.org.

Registration is now open for Holy Family’s 2024-2025 Sacramental Preparation programs. Students who are entering grades 11-12 who will be 16 at the time of Confirmation can participate in this year’s Confirmation Preparation Program. Students entering grades 2-4 are invited to register for Holy Family’s First Reconciliation and First Communion Preparation for Catholic school students entering grades 2-4. Join Holy Family for an amazing evening celebrating the priesthood at St. Francis de Sales 22nd Annual Seminary Dinner at The Baird Center in Milwaukee on Friday, October 4. Under the theme of “Zeal for the Lord’s House,” the dinner will celebrate the growing seminary as it welcomes more than 90 seminarians this fall. Tickets are $200 per person. This fall, connect more deeply with your faith and fellow Catholics by participating in one of Holy Family Catholic Community’s Small Groups or Bible Studies! Learn about the power of silence, the seven secrets of Confession, and the Gospel of Mark. Groups are offered at various days and times throughout the week to accommodate a variety of schedules. Holy Family’s Oktoberfest will return on Saturday, September 28, and the parish is looking for your help to make it a success! Holy Family invites businesses, organizations, and families to donate baskets to its Basket Raffle. The parish asks that baskets are worth at least $50 and are brought to the Parish Office by September 18. If you would like to further support the event and the parish’s ministries, there are multiple sponsorship opportunities available.
