Among Us Catholic Youth Group - Thursdays

Youth grades 6-12 are invited to join the Holy Family Catholic Community Among Us Youth Group for games, small groups, candlelight prayer, and food. The group meets on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, (5th) Thursdays of the month throughout the year from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart School, 678 Western Ave.


 

Neighbors in Faith

As spring and hopefully warmer weather approaches, you may be in need of assistance with, or eager to help with yardwork, some spring cleaning, running errands, minor repairs or jobs, companionship, or other tasks. If you could benefit from assistance or from sharing your assistance, please consider connecting with our Neighbors in Faith program.

 

We are always looking for more participants. Please contact Gabby Yank at 920-921-0580 ext. 303 to sign up for Neighbors in Faith as an assistant or participant.


 

Life Teen Information Meeting - May 1

Holy Family Catholic Community will host an informational meeting for anyone interested in attending the late-summer Life Teen camp at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 1 in the Sacred Heart School Basement.

 

High School students are invited to join Holy Family for a trip to the “best camp ever,” July 31-August 7, Life Teen Camp Covecrest. Nestled into the mountains of Northern Georgia, Covecrest provides a scenic place to experience life and encounter Christ. Besides ample activities at camp like a ropes course, human foosball, and wiffle ball stadium, teens have the opportunity to go whitewater rafting! Teens will also hear powerful talks from relatable, funny, and challenging hosts. Life Teen believes deeply in the power and grace of the Sacraments, and provides opportunities to experience God through the Sacraments, including many moments for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and daily Mass.

Healing the Whole Person: Engaging Your Story - Tuesdays, April 26th - June 14th

Do you desire healing? Freedom from unhelpful patterns of thought or sin you can’t seem to break? Struggling to understand and help someone else who desires healing or freedom?

 

Holy Family host “Healing the Whole Person: Engaging Your Story” Tuesdays, April 26-June 14 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Sacred Heart School. The 8-week series provides the framework for understanding and receiving Christ’s healing and peace in the heart of the Catholic Church. Using videos featuring Dr. Bob Schuchts & Sr. Miriam James Heidland presenting John Paul II Healing Center’s Healing the Whole Person teachings, each session includes a guided prayer experience and a workbook journaling activity for private reflection and prayer. Series also includes opportunities to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and prayer with a prayer ministry team trained by the John Paul II Healing Center.

Apply now for Christ is Risen Scholarship - Deadline May 27th

Holy Family Catholic Community will award two $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are enrolling in college or technical school. Applicants, along with their parents, must be registered members of Holy Family Catholic Community for at least one year prior to applying for the scholarship. Students must have received the Sacrament of Confirmation to be eligible to apply.

Devoted Parent Retreat - June 4th

On Saturday, June 4 at St. Anthony on the Lake in Pewaukee, parents are invited to come the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s Devoted Parents Retreat. This retreat is specially designed for couples with children and will help them encounter Christ and more deeply appreciate the beautiful gift of sacramental marriage. Mike and Alicia Hernon of the “Messy Family Project and Podcast” will speak.

Have a project around the home you need assistance with?

This summer, Holy Family Catholic Community will welcome middle schoolers from throughout the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to participate in various service projects assisting residents in the community as part of its program, Love Begins Here.

 

Parishioners are invited to contact the parish if they have projects around their home they believe the chaperoned students could help with June 28-29. To inquire, please call the Parish Office at (920) 921-0580 ext. 504.


 

Sacramental Preparation - Opens July 7th

If your child will be entering 2nd or 11th grade in the fall remember that Sacramental Preparation is done through your local parish. Holy Family registration is open for First Reconciliation and First Communion by visiting their website at www.hffdl.org/em.

Teens invited to attend Steubenville Conference - July 15th - 17th

Holy Family Catholic Community invites high school students to join its trip to the Steubenville Rochester Conference from July 15-17, 2022. According to the conference’s website, it “is a weekend conference that evangelizes, equips and empowers 8th-12th grade youth to become radical, joyful disciples. VBS – Save the Date - August 1st - 5th

We hope you will join us for our Vacation Bible Camp this year from August 1-5.

 

Kids entering preschool – 6th grade are invited to enroll to explore this year’s theme “Son Treasure Island” where we will discover God’s love while learning bible stories, playing games, making crafts, and singing!

 

Kids entering 7th grade-12th grade are invited to volunteer.

Holy Family Catholic Community seeking two Maintenance Assistants

Holy Family Catholic Community has two part-time employment opportunities available! The parish is looking to hire two Maintenance Assistants to help in the important work of keeping its Holy Family sites running and great condition! One position will focus on work at the Holy Family Church site, while the other will focus on the Rectory and the parish’s six church sites. Both positions will require employees to install, repair, and maintain various equipment, as well as to work with volunteers to coordinate maintenance, and tradesmen and supervisors to execute projects. Maintenance assistants do need be able to carry weights greater than 50 pounds, and must have the ability to work on evenings and/or weekends if needed, such as to respond to emergency after-hours situations. Performed by a licensed athletic trainer, physical therapist or occupational therapist, the free screening includes a pain assessment and recommendations for treatment or physician referral, if needed.
