- In light of situations that have occurred in schools in the United States in recent weeks we want to remind our students of our policy in the Student parent Handbook.As a best practice for safe schools, students are prohibited from admitting any visitor into the school building unless explicitly asked to do so by an administrator, teacher, or staff member. Students may not open exterior doors at any time, for any reason, or for any person – including SMSA faculty/staff members or fellow students unless given permission to do so.
Lastly, students should never prop open an exterior door for any reason.
