  • Applications for National Junior Honor Society are now available for current 7th and 8th grade students.  Please see your homeroom teacher for an application.  The deadline is Friday, March 1st.  If you have any questions about the application or the application process, please stop by to see Mrs. Hutchison or Mrs. Vazquez.
  • The Parents for Performing Arts Scholarship applications are now available in the North Office.  This scholarship is available to all Band and Choir students in the 8th grade.  Please see Mrs. Amerling for more information.

  • Forensics Students – Conference and District meets are quickly approaching.  Next week Wednesday (3/6) and Thursday (3/7), we are meeting before school (7:15 am) in Computer Lab B to go over items for Conference and Districts.  If you cannot make Wednesday before school, you must be present Thursday before school.  This will be in addition to Club Time practice.”
  • There will be an informational meeting for the newly formed Springs American Legion Baseball teams Thursday March 7th at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria.  The two teams, U16 and U19, are open to any SMSA High School students that are interested in playing baseball this summer.”  If you have any questions, see Mr. Hoffmann for more information.
  • Seniors, please have you or your parents send Lexi Baudry a baby and senior photo by this friday, March 1st. If you have any questions please see Lexi.
  • The Student Council is sponsoring a hygiene collection February 11 – March 11 for ADVOCAP this is a city-wide effort, The HELP FOR THE HOMELESS hygiene drive will be a class driven competition. The winning class will receive an ice cream treat. See posters for the items needed.
  • The SMSA Booster Club Scholarship is now available in the Counseling Office. This is available for graduating seniors who have earned 5+ Varsity letters.
  • The PPA Scholarship forms are now available in the Counseling Office for continuing and graduating Performing Arts students.
  • The P.E.O. Chapter BD Scholarship is available in the Counseling Office.  Criteria is that you must be a female high school senior planning to pursue post-high school education and has financial need.  More information in the Counseling Office.
