Electronic Report Cards - Available November 9th

High School report cards will posted electronically via Family Access in Skyward and will be available to view November 9, 2018.


Below you will find the information necessary for you to view your child/children’s report card for the first three quarters of school.  For the final quarter, you will be receiving a hard copy.  We are asking for your electronic signature after reviewing the electronic postings to verify receipt.

 

Please follow the steps below to view report cards.
1. Login into Family Access
2. Click on the Portfolio tab on the left side
3. Look for your child’s name
4. Under Description, find the document labeled 2018-19 Qtr 1 report card
5. Click the document title, the Electronic Signature box will appear
6. Click View Report to see your child’s report card

7. After you review the report card, click the small box, I Agree

8. Click Submit Signature when you are finished

Literary Magazine Bake Sale - November 13th & 14th

The Literary Magazine will be hosting a bake sale on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 13 and 14, 2018 before school, after school and during Ledger Period in the cafeteria.  Each baked good will range in price from .50c – $2.00. Monies raised will help support the printing/publishing of the magazine, The Pickaxe.


New Apparel Option Added to Lands’ End Program

A new insulated vest has been added to the Lands’ End Uniform Program for boys/girls in grades 6-12. This black vest with SMSA logo is the perfect layering item as the winter weather approaches.

Wisconsin Right To Life Essay Contest– Postmarked by December 1st

Students in Fond du Lac County, ages 13-19, with a belief in the right to life from conception to natural death are eligible to enter this essay contest.  1st place receives $300, 2nd place $200 and 3rd place $100.  Submissions must be post marked by December 1, 2018.

Annual Americanism Essay Contest – Postmarked by December 1st

Milwaukee Branch 14 Fleet Reserve Association is sponsoring their “Annual Americanism Essay Contest:  This years theme is “What Freedom of Speech Means To Me”. All essays must be postmarked by December 1, 2018.  This is available for students in grades 7-12. First place is $100, second place $75 and third place $50.

Career Exploration Opportunites

Introduction to Business Professions Course at Marian University – Starting late January

Marian University will be offering an introduction to business course featuring weekly guest presenters on accounting, business administration, finance, health care administration, marketing, management information systems and sports and recreation management.  The class will meet one night each week from late January to early March. Cost is $50. One credit hour.

Scholarship Opportunities

2019 Hammett, Bellin & Oswald Law & Justice Scholarship

This $750 scholarship is for all first-year college freshmen who will be attending an accredited College/University during the 2019-2020 school year.  Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin Scholarship

The Counseling Office has received a scholarship for seniors planning to attend a 4 year college/university leading to a baccalaureate degree in engineering and intend to enter the profession of engineering upon graduation.

Mount Mary University Scholarships

Mount Mary University wants high school graduates to know about the academic scholarships that are available to incoming students; some cover 100% tuition.

Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship – Deadline November 15th

The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship is available to high school seniors who are U.S. citizens.  Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.  Males and Females compete separately and are judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need.  

 

The application is completed online and must be submitted by November 15, 2018.

Carthage College campus will be hosting a “Capture Carthage” event on Friday, November 9th.  Visit day programs are also offered Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout the school year.  Individual visits available Monday – Friday with appointments at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. or 3 p.m.
