Principal’s Desk News & Information Upcoming Dates High School Counseling
As Winter weather arrives in Wisconsin, SMSA wants to be sure that Skyward contact information for all families is accurate. We understand some changes occur. The School Messenger system that SMSA uses to alert Parents/Guardians of school delays and closures draws its information from Skyward contact information. Please take time this week to ensure that your Skyward contact information (especially email and phone) is accurate. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
As noted in a previous eLedger, the SMSA Honor Roll has been recalibrated to align with the grading scale changes initiated this school year. SMSA Honor Rolls shall be published for each high school grade level at the end of Semester I & II, as these are the grading periods which reflect “permanent grades” – those that identify academic credit earned or unearned and which are required to appear on a student’s permanent record transcript.
The following criteria will be used moving forward. Again, Honor Roll will only be run at the end of Semester I & II…based on Semester (not quarter) grades. This criteria has been reviewed and approved by the Academic Team.
“High Honor Roll” 3.9 and above
“Honor Roll” 3.5-3.89
Quarter grades and Mid-Quarter Progress Report grades – while valuable markers of student progress – are never recorded on the permanent record transcript of any student.
Our Lady of the Ledge, pray for us.
