• Want to learn more about Spark, Youth Apprenticeship Program? It is a statewide
initiative for high school students who want hands-on learning in an area of career
interest at a worksite along with classroom instruction. There will be parent
information sessions to attend for more information.

• There will be a Catholic College Fair held at Central High School in Burlington, WI on Monday, March 12th from 6:00-7:30 pm. Their goal is to have the largest and best Catholic College Fair in Wisconsin! More information will be coming. Save the date!

 

• Michels Corporation is sponsoring a Michels Career Exploration Day on May 8th for Middle School and May 9th for High School. This experience is ideal for students exploring careers in Welding, Power line installation, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Gas
Distribution pipeline, Equipment Operation, Auto Body Mechanics, Robotics and Drones. This will be held at 817 Main Street, Brownsville, WI. The timeline is from 9:00 am -1:00 pm. More information is in the Counseling Office.

 

• The ZAPS ACT Test-Prep Seminar will be held at St. Mary’s Springs Academy High School on Friday, February 16th from 8:15am-2:15 pm. The cost is $89.99. The Junior class parents will be receiving a letter in the mail regarding this in the near future.

 

• “Discover Moraine Park” is being held at the FDL Campus on Wednesday, February 7th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Participants can visit classrooms with instructors and be
introduced to Advising and other college services and receive a $30 Application
Voucher. They can also attend a Financial Aid Workshop from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm. For more information and to pre-register, visit http://morainepark.edu/discover.

 

• The Counseling Office has received information about the Congress-Bundestag
Vocational Youth Exchange Program. It’s available to graduating seniors to spend a year in Germany living with a host family, participating in a school or training program, and
getting hands-on work experience through an internship with a German company. More information is available in the Counseling Office.

 

• Upcoming ACT test dates are February 10, April 14, June 9 and July 14, 2018. Register at www.act.org.

    more information.

• The Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit is in the process of recruiting employees for the 2018 summer season. Applicants must be 17 and older for a wide variety of positions. Interview opportunities are through March. More information in the
Counseling Office.

• Summit Automotive is seeking students for part time work. They are in need of 2 students to wash cars and do a lot work at their dealership. Most positions are filled by sophomore-senior high school students. The hours are generally M-F 4-8 and Saturdays

• Agnesian HealthCare has part time positions available to students. For more

• The Girl Scouts of Manitou Council operate two camps: Camp Evelyn in Plymouth, WI and Camp Manitou in Two Rivers, WI. They are seeking to fill seasonal positions of Counselors and Kitchen Aides. Candidates must be female and 18 by summer, 2018.

Scholarships

The Sylvester and Lucille Haensgen Scholarship is available to students in financial need or of exceptional scholastic ability for post-high school education in institutions
sponsored by the Roman Catholic Church.
The SMSA Booster Club is offering a $500 scholarship to seniors who have earned 5+ Varsity Letters, plan to attend college with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
DePrey-Skyline Family Information Technology Scholarship is available to collegebound students pursuing a degree in a computer-related field.
Fond du Lac Evening Optimist Club is offering their senior scholarship. Nominees will be judged on the basis of multiple achievements, character, leadership, community
service and scholarship.
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 222 is offering a $500 scholarship for a veteran/member/child or grandchild or an American Legion or Auxiliary member based within 30 miles of Fond du Lac County. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and enrolled in a
tuition based educational institution.
The Wisconsin Electronic Security Association is offering two college scholarships to sons and daughters of active-duty police and fire personnel. More information in the
Counseling Office.
The Fond du Lac Morning Rotary Club is offering two $1,000 scholarships to students
planning to attend Marian University, Moraine Park Technical College, or UW-Fond du Lac.
Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation will be offering scholarships to boys and girls who are residents of Wisconsin, public and private high school students, Basketball program
participants in their senior year and planning to attend a University of Wisconsin System school.
Fond du Lac Area Insurance Association is offering a $500 scholarship to a senior entering into college for a degree in business.
Marine Credit Union is offering five-$1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors and his/her parents must be members in good standing of Marine Credit Union.
The Wisconsin Professional Police Association is offering a scholarship to graduating
seniors enrolling in a college or vocational/technical school in a course of study leading to a two-or four-year degree in police science, criminal justice, or a law enforcement related
field-which does not include law school.
Aurora Health Center in Fond du Lac is offering a $500 non-renewable scholarship to students who are Fond du Lac County residents enrolled in an accredited medical,
nursing or other health-related program.
Ellington Mutual Insurance Company is offering $500 scholarships to graduating seniors who are planning to attend college or technical college. Their parents must be
policyholders of Ellington Mutual Insurance Company.
The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship is available in the Counseling Office. You do not need to be a member or a dependent of an Elk to qualify. More information in
the Counseling Office.
The P.E.O. Chapter BD Scholarship is available for graduating senior girls who have financial need, who plan on attending college and graduating from a Fond du Lac County high school.
The Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin has a scholarship available to graduating high
school seniors who plan to study engineering at a 4 year accredited program leading to a baccalaureate degree in engineering. More information may be found at

40 Days for Life is offering a scholarship for $4,040 for applicants who have participated in the pro-life movement in any capacity. More information is available in the
