  • Student Service Requirement 2017-2018

All SMSA high school students are required to complete a set # of service hours each year as a part of the SMSA System Service Initiative.  This link provides a complete breakdown of expected hours, appropriate service parameters, timelines, and information on recording hours.  Any questions about service can be forwarded to Blaine Hechimovich, Director of Campus Ministry, bhechimovich@smsacademy.org

  • x2VOL Service Hour Recording Website

x2VOL is the online service-hour recording application that SMSA uses for all of our service requirements.  Each student has a login (school email) and unique password to access the site.  On the site, each student has specifc goals labeled for them as it pertains to their individual grade level.  In addition to working as a recording platform for all of their service a student will complete, x2VOL will also be a platform for posting upcoming, approved, service work for students to utilize.

Use the Remind App's Text Messaging to Stay Connected!

The Remind App tool is a free, opt-in, Text Messaging option for students, parents, staff, and faculty to stay connected through communication.  The highest "open rate" of any communication practice is currently that of Text Messaging.  Through the Remind App those who have signed up will receive occasional updates and information regarding upcoming and current Service Opportunities at or near SMSA.  All opt-ins are completely confidential and no one will have access to your phone numbers, not even the owner of the group!  This is a great way to stay connected and continue to serve all throughout the year upholding our Leadership and Community Core Values!  Opt-in below!

Current and Upcoming Service Opportunities will be consitently displayed on the 1) Cafeteria Bulletin Board, 2) Digital Signage in the Commons, 3) Online x2VOL bulletin board, 4) via the Remind App through text messaging.

All service opportunities will go through the Campus Ministry Department and, more specifically, the x2VOL website.
